For those who are new to using unmounted stamps, I thought I would write up this quick tutorial on how to use unmounted stamps. If you have any questions, just let me know!
Give unmounted rubber stamps a try!
This is a little grab bag which is great for those who are curious about using unmounted rubber stamps.
Each bag comes with 1 unmounted, deeply etched rubber stamp with Creative Cling from The Angel Company (side note: TAC stamps have an Angel Policy which means you can use the stamps in your handmade crafts), precut cardstock to make a small 3 x 3 card and a container of Tic Tacs. The stamp and papers will vary with each grab bag.
Ok, why the Tic Tacs, you ask?! You can use them as your clear block (well after you use them, or transfer them to a different container of course!)...it's a nice way to try out unmounted rubber stamps and see if you like them!
And since you will like them..a coupon off a future order is enclosed!

The reason I fell in love with The Angel Company is because of their unmounted stamps. So what is the deal with unmounted stamps, you ask?! When you purchase stamps from TAC, you will receive the stamp image and the cling. You see the cling here.
You simply place the blue rubber images on the sticky side of the cling (one side is cling like and the other is very sticky).
Then trim the image with a good pair of scissors. I personally recommend the Kai Scissors we carry. I have used them for many years and I have used the same pair since I first used unmounted stamps, about 10 years ago!
Then all you need is a clear block. The stamp stays on the clear block very well (no slipping) and you can see very easily where you are stamping.
I store my stamps in plain CD cases (without the center where the CD is held in place). They take up so little room this way and the stamps are so much cheaper! I cut a piece of cardstock to fit where the album cover would go in the CD case. I print a label that goes on the spine of the case and I store the stamps inside the case.
Then I store the stamps inside the CD case in a CD rack right at my desk.Need CD cases? Click here!
Here is a great video from Mischelle Smith, CEO of The Angel Company on how to index your unmounted stamps:

Hi Ellie, I store mine in the CD cases as well, but goodness, I have SO SO many! Thanks for the tutorial on the stamps!
Hi, welcome to SITS girls. This is a very clever method of storing the stamps, I will be able to use it. Thank you for sharing!
What a clever idea for a Starter Kit!
