I got some stamping done tthis weekend. I made a thank you for a friend. The stamps I used are from the Hoppity Skippity stamp set. I like this set; even though it's geared for Easter, I've been using it for different occasions because of the variety of sayings it has. For the main layer, I took a piece of white Scalloped cardstock from the Scalloped Cardstock Stack. I just folded it in half (the sheet was 8 x 8 before folding) and it will fit in a legal size envelope. For the chickies I first punch the yellow squares with the 1-3/8" square punch. Then I stamped the images on the squares with Noir Pallete ink. I punched the black squares from black cardstock using the 2-1/2" Scalloped Square punch. For the stripe behind the chickies I used a yellow cardstock scrap from the chickie cardstock and layered a piece of black & white ribbon on top. I stamped the "hello chickie" with the Noir Pallete ink and added a beetle black paper posie next to that. I really like the paper posies because they are such a light weight embellishment, which is nice when you are mailing your card.
What a beautiful day here in Minnesota! We had a really nice, quiet weekend. My husband and our boys went for a very long walk to this little park in Farmington. My son Sean liked running back and forth over this bridge. We stopped at the local DQ for a pitstop and headed back home for baths and bedtime. Such a nice day! I hope it's nice weather wherever you are!
