What Inspires You As a Paper Crafter?

What Inspires You As a Paper Crafter? I asked this question on Twitter and Facebook to see what my paper crafting friends would have to say to this question and here are their replies:

From my Twitter Friends:

@2kutekreations wrote "everything, a commercial on tv, my garden, a book, pics, I get color ideas everywhere"

@sweetbuddha wrote "I'm inspired by necessity, and beauty. I LOOVE "cute" things, but translate them into a unique style of my own."

@stampcrazygirl wrote "other stampers! LOL... when I have more time to actually create on my own instead of CASE others' greatness- its home decor!"

@ZoBeDesigns wrote "I love beautiful paper. Sometimes I can see a piece & know instantly what kind on card it should become. I love that."

@PaperCakes wrote "paper, shapes, texture, colors. I like to use paint and stamps, i like to combine old and new"

From my Facebook friends:

Julie Sherry wrote "Where to start....flowers and nature. Art and antiques will inspire me and lastly supportive friends."

I also tend to be inspired by color combinations that I will see on TV, like my kids' favorite TV shows since they use a lot of very vibrant colors and whimiscal designs. Or pictures in my favorite home decor magazines. And from the world of fashion, from watching my fave fashion reality shows (a girl has to find something to do to veg and unwind from a busy day! LOL). And of course nature. I go on walks with my kids and find a lot of color inspiration from flowers and gardens. Lastly, from other artists, not copying (or as they say "casing") their work but being inspired to think outside my box and try different stamping styles and techniques.

I think that's one reason why I'm so excited too for the TAC Seminar: the energy and inspiration you get when you are surrounded by those who love to paper craft just as much as you do and don't look at you funny when you show them your latest creation or craft find (my husband LOL).

Well I think it's time to get to bed. It's been a long night of doing medical transcription! Here is my little man as he sleeps. He tends to sleep with his doggie pillow right on his face..such a cutie and my daily inspiration!

Hi Ellie,

Just thought I'd stop by to see what you have been up to! What a precious picture of your little one sleeping! Those moments are so adorable...I miss those days. My baby is almost 18. Time sure has flown by!

Glad you joined our SBS group! Can't wait to get to know you better!

Hugs,
Priscilla

Adorable. They are so precious when they sleep. Drew use to sleep standing and leaned over or onto the couch. It was precious.
