I recently made this sticky note holder for a stamping friend and blogging sista' who recently hosted a book party (thanks Shelly!!!) and thought I would share it here.
My creative process: I started with lime green lined sticky notes which limits your color choices when you start with lime green but luckily I had some lime green chipboard from our Brights Chipboard Stack. The chipboard measures 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 but I cut that in half with my Carl Paper Trimmer.
For the cover, I stamped black polka dots (when I use bright colors like lime green, I like to use black as the opposing color, helps to balance out the brightness of the green) right on the chipboard using Noir Palette and the eraser head of a pencil. "Always Remember" was stamped on background paper from the Gentle Beginnings collection (discontinued) and layered on black cardstock which is adhered to the cover.
I used the Bind-It-All for making the book and used 1/2 inch Silver Binding Wire and tied the Yellow Green Ribbon from the Mimi Ribbon collection and black ribbon from the Black & White Ribbon collection onto the wire.
For the inside, I just attached the sticky note pad to the inside chipboard using Zip Dry Paper Glue and added a mini black gel pen.
Very easy! If you have any questions about how I made this project, just send me an email!
